Terms and conditions
CT examinations of animals at vetCT, a division of Vetline veterinary hospital. Valid from 29 Sept 2026.
This is a translation of the Slovak version. In the event of any discrepancy, the Slovak version prevails.
1. Provider
Examinations are provided by VetLINE, s. r. o., with its registered office at Staromestská 6/D, 811 03 Bratislava, company ID (IČO) 43 868 665, tax ID (DIČ) 2022595751, VAT ID SK2022595751, registered in the Commercial Register of the Municipal Court Bratislava III, Section Sro, Insert No. 51525/B. The vetCT unit is a division of the company at the same address. Contact: vetct@vetline.sk, phone +421 2 2102 8700.
2. Booking and payment
You book the examination using the online form. You choose the examination and the appointment and verify yourself with a code that we send you by email or SMS. If you are not yet registered with us, we will register you. Before paying, you will see a price breakdown and the total amount including VAT in the summary.
You pay the amount at the clinic at the examination, in cash or by payment card. The contract is concluded when the appointment is confirmed. You will receive the confirmation with instructions for preparing the patient and these terms by email.
Contract practices with agreed invoicing may have the examination charged to the practice's invoice.
3. Price
Prices are in euros and include VAT and anaesthesia. The lower scan price applies to a standard report, the higher one to a report within 24 hours.
The scan price includes:
- anaesthesia and monitoring of vital signs throughout the examination
- patient preparation and placement of a cannula
- the scan, including reconstructions in additional planes
- the radiologist's report and permanent online access to the images
Charged separately according to the current price list:
- contrast medium, if the case requires it
- sampling and CT-guided biopsy
- follow-up treatment, hospitalisation and medication to take home
Surcharges and additional services according to the current price list:
For patients over 45 kg and for examinations that require repeated anaesthesia, we always confirm the price in advance, never only on the invoice afterwards.
4. Pre-anaesthetic examination
If the patient is over 8 years old or unwell, a pre-anaesthetic examination is essential before CT. We carry it out at our unit before the scan, both clinical and laboratory, for €89. Alternatively, when booking, you can upload blood results (complete blood count and biochemistry) and a clinical examination by your vet, no older than 7 days. Our vet checks the uploaded results before anaesthesia.
5. Preparing the patient
The examination is carried out under general anaesthesia, so the patient must not eat for 12 hours beforehand. Water is allowed. Continue giving any long-term medication without interruption. Let us know about any chronic conditions and drug allergies in advance.
6. Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer and ordered the examination on our website, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement, for example an email to vetct@vetline.sk or a letter sent to VetLINE, s. r. o., Staromestská 6/D, 811 03 Bratislava. Phone: +421 2 2102 8700. You may use the model withdrawal form at the end of these terms, but it is not obligatory.
You can also exercise the right of withdrawal online at vetline.sk/odstupenie-od-zmluvy or with the Withdraw from contract here button on the page of your examination. If you use this option, we will send you without delay a confirmation of receipt of the withdrawal, including its content and the date and time it was sent, by email.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you in connection with the contract, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
If you requested to begin the performance of the service during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an amount for the service actually provided until you communicated to us your withdrawal from this contract. If the examination has not started yet, you pay nothing and we refund the full amount.
The examination date is usually before the withdrawal period ends. When you order, we therefore ask separately for your express consent to the examination starting before the withdrawal period ends and for your confirmation that you have been informed that you lose your right of withdrawal once the examination has been fully performed.
A veterinary practice ordering the examination as a business does not have the right of withdrawal under this section.
7. Changing and cancelling an appointment
While the withdrawal period is running and the examination has not started, you can change or cancel the appointment free of charge. If you cancel, we refund the full amount paid.
If the patient does not come for the examination and you did not cancel the appointment in advance, the amount is not refunded. We will, however, give you a replacement appointment with a 50 % discount on the examination price.
For veterinary practices, and for cancellations after the withdrawal period has ended, the cancellation terms depend on when you cancel:
- You can change or cancel your appointment free of charge up to 48 hours before the examination. If you cancel, we will refund the full amount paid.
- If you cancel between 48 and 24 hours before the examination, we will refund half of the amount paid.
- If you cancel later or the patient does not attend, the amount is not refunded. However, we will give you a replacement appointment with a 50% discount on the examination price.
Please tell us about a change or cancellation by phone on +421 2 2102 8700 or by email at vetct@vetline.sk. The time at which you notify us of the cancellation is decisive. We refund the amount to the card you paid with. You can book a discounted replacement appointment through the link on your examination page; the discount is applied automatically.
If we cancel the appointment, for example because of a scanner fault, we will refund the full amount or arrange a different appointment, whichever you prefer.
8. Results
You will find the report and images at a permanent link that we send you by email. If you named a referring vet, we will also send the report to them.
9. Complaints and dispute resolution
We accept comments and complaints by email at vetct@vetline.sk, by phone on +421 2 2102 8700 or in person at our unit. We will deal with them within 30 days at the latest and inform you of the outcome in writing or by email.
If you are a consumer and are not satisfied with how your complaint was handled, you may ask us for redress. If we reject your request or do not respond to it within 30 days, you may submit a proposal for alternative dispute resolution under Act No. 391/2015 Coll. on alternative dispute resolution of consumer disputes. The alternative dispute resolution body is the Slovak Trade Inspection (SOI, www.soi.sk), or another body on the list kept by the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic.
10. Personal data protection
You can find out how we process personal data on the Personal data protection page. Information about the patient forms part of the medical records kept by the hospital. We use uploaded results and records only to prepare for and carry out the examination.
11. Final provisions
Matters not governed by these terms are subject to the laws of the Slovak Republic, in particular the Civil Code and Act No. 108/2024 Coll. on consumer protection. A booking is governed by the version of these terms in force at the time it was made.
